Flying back North

Today I have to fly back to Alaska in order to prepare for my husband who is returning from this ridiculous war in Afghanistan. I feel super duper nervous and I have a bad feeling about the whole thing BECAUSE number 1!!!! I watched the movie The Grey which is a VERY DEPRESSING MOVIE (don't watch it before bed)
but anyway in the movie they are in Alaska and the plane crashes and all the survivors decide to hike south to find help but these wolves are following them and in the end everyone dies :(. number 2 I was finishing packing last night and a dang documentary came on PBS Frontline about flying with regional airlines and the safety hazards. watch Flying Cheap on Frontline So apparently although you book your flight through Delta that doesn't mean delta pilots will fly you the entire time. On my flight it says my first flight was operated by Skywest airlines. On the documentary it talks about the Colgan Air plane crash in 2009 and how the standards for those pilots are not the standards of the partner which was Continental Airlines, and how the pilots were VERY inexperienced and that was the reason for the crash.

So now I'm freaking out because my first flight is through a regional Skywest airlines and my second flight is to Alaska. My husband says I'm just tripping and I checked the safety sheet for skywest and delta and they both are good but of course once I dug deeper and looked on the FAA website you see some stuff you don't want to like (we are siting this airline because they didn't fix the nose on the plane or the changed the weight of the baggage area).... just venting my nervousness
